The Forsaken World Cosplay Competition

Hello everyone! Thanks to all of your feedback and our consideration of what's best for everyone, we changed some of the mechanics. Read on to see what's in store for the Forsaken World Cosplay Competition this August 13, 2011!

Mechanics:

1. Contestants will make and wear costumes based on the screenshots of Forsaken World Characters below (see basis screenshots).
2. The contest will be a solo-cosplay. Companions in the event will not be allowed on-stage.
3. Participants will be judged by Cubinet Interactive staff based on the following criteria:
Costume:
40% Accuracy
20% Difficulty
20% Detail
Cosplayer:
10% Audience Impact
10% Roleplay/Performance
Judgement by the panel will be deemed final.

4. Contestants who wish to participate in the Forsaken World Cosplay event are to e-mail the following information to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it on or before August 10, 2011 for screening purposes:

Character class the cosplayer picked
Three (3) Full-body JPEG images at least 640px x 480px in size
Cosplayer name and contact details

Cubinet will reply on the results of the screening before the event date. Cubinet staff may also offer an attendee who is in a FW costume but did not go through e-mail screening a slot in the competition.

5. Non-qualifiers are welcome to attend the launch in their FW costume.

Prizes:

Winner: PHP 5,000.00 + Certificate of Appreciation
2nd Place: PHP 3,000.00 + Certificate of Appreciation
3rd Place: PHP 2,000.00 + Certificate of Appreciation

The top three will be required to attend a certain number of Forsaken World events over a specified span of time, with the appropriate compensation for the cosplayers' attendance. In the event that the person is unable to attend the said event, Cubinet will reserve the right to borrow the costume and have a model wear it and return it in the same condition at the time that it was borrowed from its owner.

Anime Cosplay Side Event

We'll also be holding an anime cosplay side event! Come in as your favourite humanoid anime/manga character and get picked by Cubinet staff to compete in this side event!

Mechanics:

1. Participants will be selected from cosplay attendees by Cubinet Interactive staff on the day of the event and given a stub as proof.
2. The cosplay will be a solo humanoid cosplay.
3. Participants will be judged based on the following criteria by Cubinet staff.

Costume:
20% Accuracy
20% Difficulty
20% Detail
40% Audience Impact

Prize:
Winner: PHP 2,000 + Certificate of appreciation
